7.2. Distributed Immersive Performance (DIP) Experiments(Edit)
Le projet Distributed Immersive Performance (concert immersif distribué) est localisé au Integrated Media Systems Center à la University of Southern California. Selon Sawchuk, les expérimentations du projet Distributed Immersive Performance explore les enjeux de la création d'environnement continu pour des collaborations synchrones à distance. Ce projet utilise la technologie 3D audio (spatialisation et localisation sonore) et de la vidéo HD or DV projetée sur de grands écrans afin de créer un espace immersif virtuel. Plusieurs sites sont mutualisés dans le cadre de ce projet situés sur le campus de la University of Southern California et chez plusieurs partenaires du projet tel que le New World Symphonie à Miami Beach en Floride (Sawchuk & al., 2003)[1].
