{small}Ayant eu l'opportunité de rencontrer et de discuter avec La Monte Young et Marian Zazeela en 1989 et 1990 à Bordeaux à l'occasion de leur venue pour monter un projet avec le CAPC (qui par la suite ne s'est pas réalisé), j'ai pu mieux approcher leur travail et comprendre ce qui m'avait impressionné dans l'approche de La Monte Young, même si les occasions de faire l'expérience de ses œuvres sont rares. J'ai pu par la suite faire jouer ''Composition 1960 n°7'' à Mouans-Sartoux en 1997 à l'Espace de l'Art Concret (avec des œuvres d'Éliane Radigue, John Oswald, Steve Lacy, etc.), et participer avec le Collective Jukebox en 1999 à l'exposition collective Installations Sonores du festival Musiques en Scènes au MAC de Lyon (12 février - 11 avril 1999), centrée sur les musiques et les artistes nord-américains et durant laquelle avait été mise en place la ''Dreamhouse'' ([doc Mac Lyon 1999|http://www.mac-lyon.com/static/mac/contenu/fichiers/artistes/notices_collec/youngetzazeela.pdf]), parmi un ensemble d'œuvres de plusieurs artistes (Alvin Lucier, Michael Snow, La Monte Young, Joe Jones, Charlemagne Palestine, Charlotte Moorman, Christian Marclay, Paul Demarinis, Janett Cardiff, Ian Carr-Harris, Raymond Gervais, Peter Sinclair & GH Hovagymian, Doug et Mike Starn, Stephen Vitiello, Bill Vorn, etc.). Je l'ai par la suite contacté au sujet de ''Poem for chairs, tables, benches, etc.'' afin d'en préparer la réalisation avec l'aide de Rhys Chatham. Ce projet est toujours en cours.{/small}
