Although he was not a precursor nor an "inventor", Jules Verne was able to imagine, for example, new ways to play and listen to music into his futuristic stories (corresponding to his visions of the twentieth century and sometimes of the following centuries (such as in "The day of an American journalist in 2889" (1891)) starting from extensions, combinations and judicious uses of technical and industrial inventions of his time. {br}{br} {br}{br} ---- ---- {plugin:FOOT_NOTES}
