The tape idea helped alleviate portability problems by simply recording the fifth and sixth tone tuned pianos to tape, whereby only one piano, in third tones would need retuning on location. Marie was practical. The work is the second deliberate polymicrotonal piece in history. Le Tombeau is ternary: the A section uses live pianos in half and third tone tuning, while the B section employs sound masses of the fifth and sixth tone tuned pianos, performed in studio and stored on tape.'' — (Polytempic Polymicrotonal Music, Peter Thoegersen, 2012){br}---- | |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t [https://jeromejoy.org/files/articles/marie/marie9.jpg]|t |t |t |t |t '''{cap}{small}Maurice Fleuret{br}In Le Nouvel Obs, n° 116, 1 février 1967, p.39{/small}{/cap}'''| {br}{br}{br} ---- ----
