!! références {br}{br} * '''Variations II''' de John Cage, joué et réalisé par David Tudor et Robert Rauschenberg au Théâtre de l'Ambassade des États-Unis, 1961{br}{br}{small}Le 20 juin Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Niki de Saint Phalle et Jean Tinguely participent au concert-performance, Variations II, de John Cage à l'Ambassade des États-Unis à Paris. Pendant que David Tudor joue du John Cage au piano, les artistes exécutent leurs œuvres sur la scène.{br}Rauschenberg peint en public, alors qu'un tireur d'élite (choisi pour, dit l'excellent catalogue, des raisons de sécurité) mitraille consciencieusement un tableau de Saint Phalle pendant que Tudor joue du piano.{br}{br}Tudor performed Cage’s composition Variations II (1961); Johns crafted a target out of flowers; de Saint Phalle included one of her tir, or “picture-shoot,” paintings; and Tinguely contributed a motorized sculpture. As his contribution to the performance, Rauschenberg created First Time Painting (1961). He worked onstage with the back of the canvas facing the audience, leaving them unable to see the work (fig. 4). When an alarm clock attached to the canvas rang, Rauschenberg ceased to paint and the canvas was wrapped in paper and taken offstage.12 Rather than see the work as it was made, the audience experienced its making aurally; contact microphones amplified the sound of Rauschenberg crafting the painting. There is thus an explicit temporal element to the work, insomuch as it was completed within an established duration, in addition to the sonic aspect of its performance. — ''(San Francisco Museum of Modern Art)''{/small} {br}{br} |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t [../files/doc/1982_rnjtafa/variations2_1.jpg]|t |t |t |t |t |t [../files/doc/1982_rnjtafa/variations2_2.jpg]| |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t [../files/doc/1982_rnjtafa/variations2_3.jpg]|t |t |t |t |t |t [../files/doc/1982_rnjtafa/variations2_4.jpg]| |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t [../files/doc/1982_rnjtafa/variations2_5.jpg]|t |t |t |t |t |t [../files/doc/1982_rnjtafa/variations2_6.jpg]| |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t [../files/doc/1982_rnjtafa/variations2_7.jpg]|t |t |t |t |t |t [../files/doc/1982_rnjtafa/variations2_8.jpg]| |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t [../files/doc/1982_rnjtafa/variations2_9.jpg]|t |t |t |t |t |t [../files/doc/1982_rnjtafa/variations2_10.jpg]| |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t [../files/doc/1982_rnjtafa/variations2_11.jpg]|t |t |t |t |t |t | |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t |t [../files/doc/1982_rnjtafa/variations2_12.jpg]|t |t |t |t |t |t {small}'''Source''' : http://www.rlfphotoarchives.org/PDFs/artists_sk/tudor_sk.pdf {br}http://www.rosewhitemusic.com/cage/texts/Var2.html {br}http://www.sfmoma.org/explore/collection/artwork/25848/essay/trophy_iv_for_john_cage {/small}| {br}{br} ----{br}
