Brian Eno, Mistaken Memories of Mediaeval Manhattan, 1981

Mistaken Memories Of Mediaeval Manhattan is a vertical-format video filmed by Brian Eno in New York, during 1980-81. Originally treated and assembled in New York and Toronto, for exhibition only. Re-assembled in London in September, 1987. "The pieces in Mistaken Memories Of Mediaeval Manhattan are long continuous shots of the Manhattan skyline, and what movement there is in them is not under my control: drifting clouds, rain, smoke, fleeting light and shadows, birds, aircraft."
